Sky Blue Outfitters is one of the most experienced and comprehensive fly fishing guide
service in Pennsylvania. Rick Nyles, owner, started guiding in 1999 and formed SBO in 2002.

Rick has been fly fishing for over 40 years all around the state and country. All our guides are native to Pennsylvania and have lived their
whole life right here. SBO started running day trips and packaged trips to central PA (lodging, food and guiding) to fish Penns,  Pine,
Spring, Little Juniata, Big Fishing Creek, Spruce Creek, Bald Eagle, Slate, Cedar, Little Pine Creek, just to name the a few.

Rick was first licensed in New York, SBO ran trips to the Lake Placid area to fish the West Branch of the Ausable and the Saranac rivers. As the
business grew,  SBO added Nick Raftas and Taylor Helbig to support and expand the business adding another 25 years of experience.

Over the years SBO has established itself as a leading guide service in PA. With the addition of three drift boats, this will open up even more
water to target Bass, Pike and Musky. SBO offers (maybe first in PA) fly fishing guide service to  catch Carp. Along with trips in PA,
SBO offers unique trips to Montana (Trout) and the Outer Banks targeting Redfish, Sea Trout  and Stripers. Future trips are being planned to
pursue Pike and Musky on a fly rod.  SBO and Nick Raftas have provided  services for
Field and Stream's Hook Shots videos programs.

Come join us on one of our day trips, a drift down the Lehigh, Susquehanna rivers or one of
our many overnight packages targeting specific hatches to catch trout.

Eastern PA
Heavy rains moved through the area and some stream are running high,
Tulpehocken.  Lehigh is running at a nice level, but Gorge fishing is day to
day.  The Manatwany got a "big" shot of water.  It came down and this
week should be good in the morning and evening. Caddis (go small),
Sulphurs and Ants.

Pohopoco, Mud Run, Valley in good shape.

I would go fish any class A creek that is in the wood, shade.
Central PA
Warm Water Bass, Pike and Muskie
Penns, Spring, Big Fishing Creek and Fishing Creek in nice shape.
Temps and level bumped up this past week.  Good hatches if you are
in the right spot.  Work the water and fish early and late with the high sun this
week.  Fish with Beetles and Ants.  I would use big stoneflies right t dark.

Big Pine is high along with other creek in the upper central PA.
Little J has been high and off color.  As soon as it clears up I would get
out there to fish.
Water came up with the rain.  It's off color and is tough fishing right now.
Can you catch fish, yes, but you will work all day for a few.  Give it a week of
clearing up.  Go fish a farm pond for Largemouth.
