Tulpehocken Chapter of
Trout Unlimited
I consider the Manatawny Creek (the Manny) my home
creek, not because I live in it's headwater and fish it
more then any other creek, because it is the best creek
in southeastern PA. Don't take my word for it, there was
a
study done in 2006 and it was highest rated stream in
the sampling. Higher then the Tulpehocken, French, Hay,
Perkioman, Valley and others.
Located in Berks County, it
is hom
e to wild and stocked trout. It also has the best
Sulphur hatch in the area along
with Hendricksons, Caddis
and Tricos. Having a population of wild brown trout and
the state stocks thousands of adult trout, gives your
miles of creek to fish in the beautiful Oley Valley. Come
discover this under "fly" fished stream.
