| All streams have some form of Caddis. Color and size is all that changes depending on the time of year. The video shows basic tying instructions, just change size of hook, color of the dubbing and amount of materials to "match the hatch". I have been using this pattern for year and found it to be my "go to" fly when fishing choppy water. I tie it in Green, Grey, Tan, Black and White... |

| Mayflies varies greatly from stream to stream. There are also slight variations in color from stream to stream. (Sulphurs vary from a yellow to orange). Here are two videos showing how to tie an Emerger and a Dun. The Video show tying a fly using thread for the body material, no dubbing. I like using just thread on size 16 and smaller. I do use some dubbing on size 16 flies just as an option but the majority are just thread bodies. To tie a large fly, like a size 14 March Brown, just add dubbing and use the basic techniques shown in the videos. |
