The Fishing

The Hendrickson is the first large mayfly hatch of the season.
The duns start coming off in the afternoon so nymphing
before the hatch will be important part of catching fish. We will
also have Grammon (Caddis) coming off during this time of
year. The water can be up in the spring time and swinging a
streamer is also productive.

I have been fishing in Central PA in Late April for many years
and it is a great time to fish. The only draw back is the
sometimes it can be cold. The Hendrickson hatch has been very
consistent year after year and we will be right in the middle of
it. S.B.O. will supply the flies need to catch these smart fish.

We have lots of options on where to fish. Within 30 minutes
we can be on Penns Creek Catch and Release area, Bald Eagle
Creek, Spring Creek. Or we can just fish on Big Fishing creek.
